Our workshops are run by groups of dedicated student
volunteers and faculty who are passionate about educating
under-resourced communites. At our workshops, you can expect
a comprehensive overview of essential topics such as
Medicare/Medicaid, affordable healthcare options, and
navigating county healthcare systems. We also provide detailed
information on the process for applying to health insurance
and federal relief programs.
In addition, we present a curated list of free healthcare
resources available in your vicinity, ensuring that participants
are aware of the services they can access locally. Our workshops
end with a live demonstration of our free CommuniCare app,
which connects individuals to matched healthcare resources
based on their needs and preferences. Participants will have
the opportunity to ask questions and engage with our trained
student and staff leaders, ensuring that they have a clear
undersanding of the topics covered and resources available to
them.
